Friends of five and twenty

This last week we have been using cuisenaire rods to help us work out what numbers add up to 5 and 10!

We love our Te Reo Maori, please watch our class singing and dancing to Tutira mai nga iwi!

Thanks Persayus for taking the lead!

"Goals for 2020"

As William said when asked "What is a goal? " "It is something you want to achieve"

Room 26 has been busy writing in our books what our goals are for 2020. We also pasted a soccer ball into our books and wrote in the soccer ball our goals to show everyone what we were aiming for in 2020!

Room 26 "Kawa of care"

We were learning all about Kawa of care or the importance of taking care of our i-Pads!
Mrs Collins explained the rules we need to follow so that our i-pads live a long life. We were also lucky enough to watch a  Cybersmart video that explained the correct way to hold our i-pads, that our i-pads are for classroom use only and not for outdoors and how our styluses are for our i-pads only and should not be used on any other surface. After watching and listening to Mrs Collins and the Cybersmart video, we decided to make posters of what we had just seen and heard.

Reading every morning before school starts!

Every morning when the bell rings at 8.30 we read our books either softly to ourselves or to each other! We are wanting to improve our reading skills and think that we are heading in the RIGHT direction!!!!

Jeremiah has the right idea!

Levi and Ezias get to share with each other what their book is all about!

AJ enjoys coming in each morning before school starts, getting his book out, reading, then explaining what has happened!

Thursday 5 March 2020

We have been going swimming, learning water skills that will help us to be safe in the water!

Nice AJ!

Ready, set .............

This is serious work, getting our technique right!

Good work Sia!

Nearly there Persayus!

Keep that back nice and straight, arms above your head!

Well Done William!
