Henri Matisse.

 

Room 26 gave the techniques of artist Henri Matisse  a go! For some of us it was a bit challenging -a few of us managed to get to the end result. We were able to cut out (mostly freehand) Geometric shapes and paste them onto a piece of black paper,. The colours were so bright against the black. We had a lot of FUN!

Equal groups in Maths.

                                           Room 26 were making equal groups with string and Teddy bears!

                                           Here we were making 3 groups of 7 or 3 x 7

Life Education with Mrs Park.

 

Thank you for all the fun and awesome learning about a "balanced diet" and the importance of eating a variety of different foods. All the FANTASTIC activities were enjoyed by us as well-Room 26 really enjoyed ourselves!

Our trip to MOTAT.

 On Thursday Team 2 went to MOTAT. Team 2 had so much fun. We got to programme mini robots (as you will see in the video below) we programmed these robots to turn left and right as well as knock over cardboard tubes (A big thanks to Mr D, who was our guide and helped us programme our robots. We learn't about what technology was like in the old days. We got to see the older model fire engines, planes and cars. We really enjoyed the tram ride that took us past Western Springs Lake. We had a AWSOME day!
